Shabbat services on August 7th will commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the shootings at the JCC in Granada Hills. Ten years ago, we all gathered as a community - stunned by a tragedy that affected our Temple members and friends.

Two of the people who were shot that day, Mindy Finkelstein and Josh Stepakoff, were recently honored by Women Against Gun Violence as Courageous Leaders. Both will speak on August 7th.

Josh Horwitz, the author of Guns, Democracy, and the Insurrectionist Idea, and the Executive Director of the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, will also speak.

Where ten years ago, we faced the weeks after the shooting with despair, we'll now look at how we can have an impact on reducing gun violence. The service is one filled with hope for the future.
