This fall my family took a trip to Sequoia National Park, where we hiked through Crystal Cave, one of the marble caves found in the park. The cave is about a million years old, and filled with beautiful stalactite and stalagmite formations. On our hike we learned about a new cave recently discovered in the park; it is called Ursa Minor, named for an ancient bear skeleton that was found inside...

Judaism Beyond our Boundaries at TAS and CSUN Jewish Studies present the first in a year-long film series: "As Seen Through These Eyes" - Free screening followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Hilary Helstein. 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 22. This vividly and beautifully illustrated documentary juxtaposes historic newsreel footage of Nazi Europe with the drawings, paintings, plays, as well as interviews of artists who documented the genocide that they survived. Narrated by American poet laureate Maya Angelou, it offers a very different perspective on the rise of Hitler and showcases perspectives not typically heard.

Feeding The Hungry Program Registration Closes Tonight

Come join volunteers as we work together to package food to be shipped out to feed the hungry on Sunday, October 18 at the JCC in West Hills. The 10am 12pm shift is already full and the 12pm to 2pm shift closes tonight! Do a Mitzvah! Help feed the hungry! Children 6-13 can work the assembly line, but must be accompanied by an adult. Children will get religious school credit.
