Confirmation

Our Confirmation program offers students the opportunity to ask, challenge, and discuss topics that impact them and the world around them through a Jewish lens.

Our learning focuses on how Jewish values and God may offer important perspectives on the world around us and our responsibility to it.

A significant and most memorable part of the year is a trip to Washington D.C. to participate in the L’Taken Social Justice Seminar. The L’Taken Seminar offers attendees the opportunity to learn about the process of legislative change, explore significant issues relevant to them, and lobby their legislative representatives in Congress.

Our Confirmands develop a speech that is shared during the Confirmation Service. It highlights what they have learned, issues they have an interest in, and fond memories of their time at Temple Ahavat Shalom. Below are past Confirmation Reflections.

About Temple Ahavat Shalom

Shabbat is our opportunity to exhale, come together, leave the noise of life, and find “sanctuary” in our own remarkable space.

Community at Temple Ahavat Shalom

Stepping into our Community allows us to shake off the stress of life while providing the opportunity to reimagine that we are Jews living in a Jewish world.

Prayer at Temple Ahavat Shalom

As a Beit Tefillah – a House of Prayer – Temple Ahavat Shalom provides a place of spiritual nourishment and renewal for all in an often chaotic world.
